We’ll Always Have Paris 2008
2008 Solo Exhibition, Keith+Lottie Gallery, WA
"Is our attraction to clichés rooted in the mysterious depths of the sub-atomic world? These paintings, featured in the exhibition We'll Always Have Paris: Bent Tales from the Sub-Atomic at Kieth+Lottie Gallery in Northbridge, Western Australia in January 2008, reflect my fascination with how quantum physics shapes our storytelling. As I experimented with a mix of traditional painting techniques, stencils, and photographic methods, I pondered the philosophical implications of quantum physics on our perceptions of reality and the stories we tell. Perhaps as the famous physicist Niels Bohr once said, 'The fact that [quantum physics] makes no sense is exactly what can be said about reality.' In other words, the strange and seemingly irrational world of quantum physics may have more to say about our perceptions and storytelling than we realize.". >>next gallery.
