Group show: ‘Artists and Artisans’ at The Old Church Gallery, Fremantle Jan 1994

Media Release for group exhibition at the Old Church Gallery in Fremantle.

A flyer for the group exhibition I did in Fremantle in an old church called, of course, The Old Church Gallery:)

[transitioned from my old website 2021]

A group exhibition of artists and artisans where I was able to share my ‘other side’, which is my craft and skills in art doll making, sculpture and fabric design. Diana Bostock is the sweetest most supportive art gallery director I have met then or since.

I have looked and looked and it seems I have lost all the flyers, cutout articles from pre-1994, which go back to all the small shows, school and local arts festival exhibitions that I did during my studies at Perth Technical College on St Georges Tce in Perth in Western Australia. Nothing eart-shattering, just really good grass-roots passion for art and beautiful people.

Carl Gopalkrishnan (aka Gopal)

Over the past two decades, Carl Gopalkrishnan's artwork has garnered international recognition for its ability to forge meaningful connections between cultural narratives in art and literature and the complex dynamics driving international law, intervention, and global conflict. Carl transforms our familiar cultural artefacts into new myths. Through his art he opens a door for legal and military minds to explore the creative, subconscious, and emotional nuances underlying doctrines that shape war and peace.
