Cover Art: A bit of light and head-less fun for Melbourne band The Victim’s Ball - ‘Body Parts’, 2021

The Victim’s Ball new album Body Parts. Artwork adaptions of drawings Bals des Victimes 2000 by Carl Gopalkrishnan

I like people who have their own voice.:)

Thanks Robert from The Victim’s Ball for sharing his musical journey with my artwork Bals des Victimes adapted for cover art for his new album Body Parts.

They have an iconic Melbourne sound, obsess about the French Revolution and make you think of attending a carnival in an alleyway in the middle of a lost town somewhere beyond the black stump.

Carl Gopalkrishnan (aka Gopal)

Over the past two decades, Carl Gopalkrishnan's artwork has garnered international recognition for its ability to forge meaningful connections between cultural narratives in art and literature and the complex dynamics driving international law, intervention, and global conflict. Carl transforms our familiar cultural artefacts into new myths. Through his art he opens a door for legal and military minds to explore the creative, subconscious, and emotional nuances underlying doctrines that shape war and peace.
