Check out feature articles on The Novocaines' new singles in Rip It Up magazine (SA) and Xpress and Drum Media magazine (WA & NSW) from 24 June editions. They're getting loads of airplay nationally and deserve it for taking risks.

some great reviews for Freedom Please....

"Altogether louder, Perth’s The Novocaines appear to be frequently placing new songs for your enjoyment or otherwise. Freedom Please (Independent) screeches and skids at you with an intensity approaching throat-shredding and an almost nu-metal energy – but they, like that term, are a little beyond that."

Drum Media Sydney 12 June 2013

The Novocaines spent most of 2012 writing and self-producing their next set of songs, which will be released over the course of 2013 with a mix of free downloads and vinyl releases.  The first two singles ‘Til Death and Freedom Please are a current and relevant example of The Novocaines direction for 2013; short, fast, energetic punk rock that draws influence from their modern contemporaries like Fucked Up and Pulled Apart by Horses.  The first single ‘Til Death has quickly spread to radio stations nationwide. Dave Ruby Howe of JJJ Unearthed reviewed ‘Til Death with 4/5 stars saying – ‘What an enlightening blast of messy, mean WA rock’. Further support came from Home and Hosed on JJJ with Dom Alessio describing the track as an “Absolute firecracker of a song”.
